Job Description

We are looking for a Temporary Accounting Assistant to provide accounting support for Jani-King’s corporate team. Duties include but are not limited to cash receipts application, balancing cash receipts daily, preparing invoices, issuing billing adjustments, processing payments to our Franchisees, contacting customers regarding payment inquiries, collections and performing data entry.

This is a 6-month temporary position.

JOB DUTIES

• Daily cash receipt application and reconciliation
• Issue invoices from supporting data
• Process invoices for extra work, one-time requests, and special cleaning needs.
• File documents and records (electronic and hard copy) according to established filing systems
• Update spreadsheets to track historical data as needed
• Problem solving and problem resolution
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong math skills
• Strong service/ quality attitude
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and achieve effective time management
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
• Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as a team
• Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others
• Knowledge of general office equipment and telephones
• Punctual
• Must be able to pass a background screen

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of administrative, accounting, billing, or collections experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent
