Job Description

Be visionary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.

We are looking for individuals who thrive on making an impact and want the excitement of being on a team that wins.

Job Description

Teledyne Controls delivers real-time, onboard aircraft performance applications across mobile platforms like iOS and Android. Our latest solution, eTOLD, evolves from a well-established lineage of performance tools that have earned the trust of military and civilian flight crews alike. Rather than resting on proven success, we're advancing the platform with innovative features that elevate usability, streamline operations, and align with the dynamic needs of today's flight crew.

In this role, you will design, develop, and test new features, as well as resolve software defects. You will collaborate directly with flight crews across our customer base, as well as the product team, to deliver high-quality, timely solutions in alignment with our quality standards and product roadmap. Your contributions will directly impact flight crews by improving efficiency, safety, and the overall in-flight experience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and test efficient, high-quality aircraft performance software, including:
    • Digitizing loosely structured data from aircraft flight and performance manuals, with a focus on increasing automation.
    • Developing and maintaining aircraft performance logic algorithms.
    • Designing output formats tailored to flight crew and aircraft operational requirements.
  • Create comprehensive test plans and leverage automated testing tools where applicable.
  • Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams to ensure product deliverables align with roadmap priorities and technical requirements.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of software specifications, design documentation, and test development artifacts.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in both commercial and military aircraft performance domains.
  • Engage directly with customers to ensure products meet their operational needs and performance expectations.
  • Familiarity with fundamental low-speed aircraft performance principles.
  • Understanding of basic weight and balance concepts, particularly as they apply to military or civilian aircraft operations (e.g., FAR Part 121 compliance).

Education And/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in a related field, preferably aerospace engineering.

Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a US Person (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).

Salary Range: $52,800.00-$70,400.00

Pay Transparency

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.

Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards. We require all employees to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, rules and regulatory orders.
