Automotive Sales Engineer Position available to bridge the gap between engineering and sales in the automotive sector. This role requires both technical expertise and strong communication/sales skills and is located at 28221 Beck Rd., Unit A-21, Wixom, MI 48393

• In-Depth Antenna / Infotainment Knowledge

• Product Lifecycle Knowledge

  • Experience in early-stage design collaboration and change management processes (APQP, PPAP).

• Supplier & Tier-1 Integration

  • Understanding how components fit into Nissan’s global vehicle platforms.

• Engineering Change & BOM Management

  • Familiarity with engineering changes (ECR/ECO), bill of materials (BOM), and part numbering systems.

• Technical Drawing & CAD Interpretation

Sales & Business Acumen (OEM-Specific)

• OEM Sales Process Expertise

  • Understanding of how to work with Nissan's purchasing, engineering, and supplier quality teams.

• Cost Estimation & Quotation Management

  • Building detailed cost breakdowns and negotiating pricing with Nissan procurement teams.

• RFQ/RFI Processes

  • Responding effectively to Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Information (RFI) from Nissan.

• Program Management

• Supporting new vehicle programs from concept to SOP (Start of Production).

• Contract & Commercial Negotiation

  • Experience dealing with long-term supply agreements and cost-reduction discussions.

Tools & Systems

• ERP & PLM Systems

  • Experience with SAP, Teamcenter, or similar platforms.

• CRM Tools

  • Salesforce or other systems for managing leads, quotes, and customer engagement.

• Microsoft Excel (Advanced)

  • For cost modeling, project tracking, and KPI reporting.

• Technical Presentation Tools

  • PowerPoint, Visio, and automotive-specific visualization tools.

Interpersonal & Soft Skills (Nissan Culture Fit)

• Japanese Business Etiquette (a major plus)

  • Understanding cross-cultural communication with Japanese HQ and local subsidiaries.

  • Familiarity with terms like N emawashi (consensus-building) and K aizen (continuous improvement).

• Customer-Centric Approach

  • Building long-term relationships with Nissan engineers, buyers, and product planners.

• Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills

  • Conveying complex information clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Problem Solving & Proactive Mindset

  • Quickly resolving technical or delivery issues, and proposing engineering or commercial solutions.

Global Awareness

• Multilingual Abilities (a plus, especially Japanese

• Understanding of Global Supply Chain

  • Coordinating with North American Nissan plants
