As a BSA/AML Analyst, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding the bank from financial crime. This position focuses on monitoring transactions, identifying suspicious activity, and supporting compliance efforts across the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Investigate and analyze transaction alerts generated by AML monitoring systems
  • Maintain accurate documentation of findings
  • Provide guidance and training to front-line staff on BSA/AML compliance.
  • Stay current with evolving BSA/AML regulations through ongoing training.
  • Support the BSA Officer with audits, projects, and other duties as assigned

POSITION LEVEL EXPECTATIONS

  • It is expected BSA/AML Analyst will complete an average of 10 AML alerts daily with a high degree of quality; maintaining an annual edit rate of less than 10%.

Actively participate in expanding skill sets and career paths by attending training programs, workshops, certifications, and educational resources relevant to the role. On average one training course per month is expected for this role.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential position requirement satisfactorily and a skills inventory is listed below.

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in AML, compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Background screening will be conducted.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents. Possesses professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate with internal clients directly and effectively.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Prior experience or the ability to learn core transaction system, familiarity with AML monitoring systems, and compliance platforms. Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and standard office software. Ability to learn and navigate internal systems and tools efficiently.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.
