Role Summary

As a key member of our team, you will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This role includes:

  • Fabricating, modifying, or repairing mechanical instruments.
  • Maintaining industrial machines using your knowledge of mechanics and machining procedures.

This is a 3rd shift position: Sunday 10:30 PM to Friday 7:15 AM.

Your Responsibilities

  • Operate Equipment: Manage basic equipment and machines while performing routine tasks.
  • Manage Operations: Follow established processes to carry out operational tasks.
  • Maintain Equipment: Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment.
  • Ensure Safety: Adhere to mandatory work instructions to protect the environment and well-being of all.
  • Compliance: Follow procedures to meet quality standards and regulatory codes.
  • Utilize Precision Tools: Use measuring instruments like micrometers and dial indicators.
  • Read Blueprints: Interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances effectively.
  • Communicate Effectively: Engage in courteous interactions with team members.
  • Understand Policies: Work with guidance to align with organizational strategies.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.
  • Skills: Proficiency in operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC lathes/mills.

Preferred Skills

  • Communication: Clear and effective verbal communication skills.
  • Planning: Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safe work systems.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
