JOB DESCRIPTIONPlan, layout, and install concrete forms, rebar, and anchor bolts for flat foundations, spread footers, and drilled piers in accordance with the plans and specifications. Place and finish concrete in accordance with plans and specifications.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESKnowledge of methods, tools, equipment, and materials utilized in the construction of concrete foundations.Be able to proficiently operate equipment such as a skid steer, mini excavator, back hoe, and forklift.Proficient use of all required hand tools.Hand dig ditches and holes.Assemble, set, and brace concrete forms.Follow safety procedures and report violations.Install all related items in accordance with the applicable plans and specifications. Knowledge and understanding of the company safety policies and procedures.Knowledge of concrete industry standard practices.Participate in daily pre-job briefings and provide input to mitigate or eliminate safety hazards.Maintain an organized and clean job site including work areas, tool trailers, storage facilities, and office facilities.Provide on-the-job training to those individuals you work with. Read and comprehend concrete drawings and specifications.Comply with company and client policies. Travel out of town to remote jobsites as required by management.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS3 years of working as a carpenter or finisher.Knowledge of concrete industry standards.Capable to receive and follow verbal directions.Capable of working well with others as a team.Must be at least 18 years of age.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSSelf-motivating with eagerness to grow.Strong written and verbal communication skills.WORK CONDITIONSRequired to stand, kneel, bend, stoop, walk, push, pull, and complete repititive motions. Capable to routinely lift objects up to 25 pounds in weight and infrequently lift objects up to 50 pounds in weight. Full range of motion required as well as finger dexterity. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSTypical construction work site environment that includes being exposed to extreme weather conditions of heat or cold (above 90 degrees and below 32 degrees), inclement weather, distracting and uncomfortable noise conditions, electical hazards, and poor lighting conditions.
