• Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
• Review financial records, such as income statements and balance sheets, to ensure accuracy
• Utilize technical accounting knowledge to identify potential deductions and credits
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and answer tax-related questions
• Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations
• Use accounting software, such as QuickBooks and Drake, to input and analyze financial data
• Correspond with IRS to handle tax notices and resolve tax issues.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing any concerns or issues they may have

Skills:

• Strong technical accounting skills with a focus on tax preparation
• Proficient in using accounting software, such as QuickBooks. Zero and Drake
• Ability to analyze financial records and identify potential deductions and credits
• Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients
• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing tax returns
• E nrolled agent license or CPA license required

• Monitor, analyze, and reconcile expenses and balance sheet data
• Assist with maintaining the general ledger
• Prepare journal entries to be posted to GL
• Monthly/Quarterly Variance analysis
• Create departmental reports to compare to budget pacing
• Document accounting process and internal control
• Assist in month end and quarterly reporting
• Assist with the preparation and filing of local, state, and federal taxes

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
• EA certification, CPA certification desirable
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial accounting or related roles
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience in public accounting is a plus
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
