Core Responsibilities The Director of Corporate Communications is responsible for developing and executing the strategic communication plan for Restaurant Brands International, managing all related internal and external corporate communication functions. Engage stakeholders by telling the RBI story—growth potential, unique business model, and iconic brands. Create innovative thought leadership and communication strategies that highlight RBI's story to shareholders, stakeholders, and potential employees. Collaborate directly with C-suite leaders to develop speech materials and manage media relations. Participate in strategy development within the communications and public affairs team and across brands. Monitor industry trends, emerging issues, and themes, and develop communication plans or provide counsel accordingly. Implement proactive strategic communication plans to address business issues or threats. Support RBI’s corporate initiatives and events, advising senior leadership and teams. Internal Communications & Culture Partner with the People team to promote company culture and employer branding. Lead internal communications strategies aligning with corporate objectives and initiatives. Integrate communication plans with employee experience programs across all offices and centers. Manage special events, employee engagement initiatives, and strategic projects that reflect RBI’s values and vision. Oversee content management for internal portals and external websites proactively. Sustainability & Social Purpose Enhance our social purpose and sustainability efforts by managing communication strategies related to our environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. Develop and oversee communication for RBI’s sustainability strategy and ESG reporting. Support stakeholder and NGO relations related to sustainability efforts. Monitor CSR trends to keep our sustainability communications current and impactful, mitigating negative campaigns and stakeholder issues. Qualifications University degree in Communications, Political Science, English, Journalism, Government Relations, or related fields. Minimum of 8 years in corporate communications, journalism, thought leadership, or content management. Experience in behavioral change management and organizational readiness is advantageous. Proficiency in creating graphics and managing social and internal content. Data-driven with skills in analytics and measurement reporting. Experience in video production, storyboarding, and budget management.
