Job Overview The EDI Manager is responsible for leading the EDI team to provide daily operational support, manage new EDI implementations, and continuously improve EDI processes across multiple ERP systems and EDI VANs. This role requires a strong technical background in EDI, hands-on experience with EDI project delivery and management, and the ability to oversee both high-level strategy and detailed execution. The EDI Manager will support CVG's operations in the US and Mexico, ensuring smooth and efficient EDI communications with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities EDI Operations & Support: Oversee daily EDI operations, ensuring seamless data exchanges across various ERP systems and EDI VANs, including OpenText, IBM Sterling, and Future3. New EDI Implementations: Lead and manage new EDI projects, ensuring successful onboarding of trading partners and integration with internal systems. Team Leadership & Development: Manage, mentor, and develop the EDI team, set clear weekly, quarterly and yearly goals, tracking progress, and making course corrections as needed. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external partners to align EDI processes with business objectives and manage expectations effectively. Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of EDI operations. Monitoring & Risk Mitigation: Monitor EDI workflows and ticketing systems, ensuring timely resolution of issues while proactively identifying potential risks and taking corrective actions. Strategic Thinking: Balance attention to detail with a big-picture perspective, identifying opportunities to optimize EDI processes and overall team performance. Conflict Resolution: Handle complex situations and difficult conversations with professionalism and diplomacy. Structured Execution: Ensure a structured approach to problem-solving and project execution, maintaining clear documentation and processes. Communication & Reporting: Adapt communication style based on the audience, providing clear and concise updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Provide weekly updates on EDI operations and projects. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in EDI operations and project management. Experience supporting EDI operations in manufacturing or automotive industries. Strong technical knowledge of EDI standards, including X12 and EDIFACT. Experience with multiple ERP systems and EDI VANs (OpenText, IBM Sterling, Future3 preferred). Proven leadership and team management experience, with the ability to mentor and develop team members. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences. Ability to work both strategically and hands-on, ensuring alignment between high-level business goals and technical execution.
