Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and oversee engineering operations at our manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians, driving process improvements, implementing automation, and ensuring optimal performance in equipment design, maintenance, and production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering department, including mechanical, process, and manufacturing engineers.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
• Oversee equipment installation, upgrades, and maintenance plans to ensure maximum uptime and safety.
• Monitor KPIs related to equipment performance, quality, and production throughput .
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure smooth product launches and process scalability.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations , and company safety standards.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff, providing technical guidance and performance management.
• Manage capital projects, budgets, and vendor relationships for equipment and services.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation , including SOPs, BOMs, and process flow diagrams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position .
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and project management .
• Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Experience

Experience in automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or high-volume manufacturing .

Familiarity with automation, robotics , or Industry 4.0 technologies.

PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification.
