Based in Rochester, NY, the Catholic Courier is seeking one or more Independent Advertising Sales Representatives to sell advertising in its print and digital platforms to new customers in the 12-county Catholic Diocese of Rochester.

This is a great chance to be your own boss while earning 30% commissions on the ads you sell. The average ad costs $500, but prices range widely, depending on the ad's size, how often the customer places the ad, and where the ad appears.

Training and digital sales collateral will be provided as desired.

Compensation:

• 30% commission paid each month on all ads you sell into the prior month's publications. Average ad price is $500, but prices vary widely depending on ad size, frequency, publication and section..

Work Location: Remote and at advertiser locations, as appropriate. No in-office work.

Responsibilities:

• Grow advertising revenue by identifying and selling to new advertising clients
• Create and deliver sales presentations based on provided data
• Answer customer inquiries and objections in a timely and professional manner
• Communicate with office staff on ad placement, design and billing.
• Organize client correspondence and paperwork

Qualifications:

• Effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to build rapport with prospects and clients
• Customer-service orientation
• Basic math skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Helpful but NOT required: Previous experience in sales, advertising or related field
