Location: Various locations across Indiana, including Evansville Psychiatric Children's Center, Evansville State Hospital, Logansport State Hospital, Madison State Hospital, Richmond State Hospital, and the Indianapolis Neurodiagnostic Institute.

Position Overview:
Join a state-operated hospital in Indiana as a Psychiatrist, where you will lead the delivery of high-quality psychiatric care to patients with persistent and severe mental illness. Qualifications:

• Education: MD/DO degree from an accredited institution (required).
• Licensure: Active Indiana medical license (required); Board Certification in General Psychiatry (required).
• Experience: Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency (required); prior hospital or severe mental illness care experience.
• Technical Skills:  Expertise in psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and medication management
• Soft Skills:  Strong leadership for interdisciplinary collaboration; Excellent communication for patient/family education; Empathy and adaptability in high-stakes environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental disorders, and prescribe treatment plans.
• Lead interdisciplinary treatment teams and develop individualized care strategies.
• Provide patient and family education on mental health conditions and therapies.
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and nurses to optimize care delivery.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in continuing education, hospital committees, and program development.
• Supervise medical students and support their clinical training (as needed).
