Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital, a Level I Regional Resource Trauma Center, is seeking a skilled Trauma Acute Care Surgeon to deliver high-quality surgical care to critically injured patients in one of Philadelphia’s busiest and most respected trauma centers. Position Overview: This role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional surgical care to critically injured patients in one of Philadelphia's busiest trauma centers. The hospital is a 548-bed tertiary-care teaching hospital renowned for its commitment to patient care, education, and research. The Trauma & Acute Care Surgeon will provide immediate assessment, resuscitation, and surgical intervention for patients presenting with acute traumatic injuries and emergent surgical diseases. Responsibilities include performing trauma surgery, emergent general surgery, and elective general surgery, with experience in MIS/robotic surgery highly desired. The surgeon will oversee trauma and surgical patients in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, engage in education and mentorship of medical students and residents, participate in acute care surgery research initiatives, support community injury prevention programs, and actively engage in the trauma center's Performance Improvement and Patient Safety program. Qualifications include completion of a General Surgery residency, fellowship training in Trauma Surgery, Acute Care Surgery, or Surgical Critical Care, board certification or eligibility in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania, proven experience in trauma and acute care surgery within a high-volume trauma center, strong decision-making skills, excellent communication, and dedication to continuous professional development.
