Position Summary: As a Beverage Service Specialist, you will create positive guest experiences by skillfully preparing and serving a variety of beverages in a friendly and efficient manner. You will follow standard recipes to mix ingredients and prepare cocktails, while also offering food items to guests. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized bar area and managing payment transactions responsibly. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Welcome guests with enthusiasm, taking beverage orders from servers or directly from customers. Quickly prepare drink orders for servers, ensuring accuracy according to server tickets. Skillfully mix both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, adhering to company standards and recipes. Check guest identification to confirm age for alcohol purchases; alert management of any guests who appear underage or intoxicated. Process all drink and food orders through the POS system, handle payments, and maintain accurate financial records. Ensure the bar is well-stocked and equipped with necessary tools for beverage preparation and service; report any equipment malfunctions promptly. Offer food items to guests at the bar, when appropriate or upon request. Possess comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage products, including menus and promotions. Conduct routine cleaning, set up, and breakdown of the bar to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Wash and sterilize glassware, keeping beverages displayed attractively. Complete scheduled cleaning tasks and side work requirements consistently. Assist with catering events as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor. Job Requirements: 1-2 years of bartending experience is preferred. Previous experience with Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi and sake, is a plus. A basic understanding of wine, spirits, and sake is preferred. Must hold a Responsible Alcohol Service certification from an approved agency.
