Dear Jobseeker,

Tired of scrolling through the same old listings, only to get more and more discouraged by the minute? I know what that feels like. I've found myself exactly where you are so many times, I've made a career out of starting over.

My reason for the many job changes is the same as yours ~ life happens. You roll with the punches. But that doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing.

My name is Judy Lutz, and I've found my perfect job. I get to be on the other side of this now, looking for you.

How do I know it's the right job? Because I know what drives me. You see, we have to go beyond the needing money part. We all need money, lots of money, so we can live the life of our dreams.

You may think you can't make a lot of money based on your history. I’ve learned the hard way that there aren’t enough hours in the day to be working by the hour. No time for fun, just go to work, rest for a bit, and go back to work again.

I’ve also learned that starting my own business isn’t the answer either. You sacrifice even more friends and family time trying to do it all by yourself, eventually burning out when you realize passion doesn't pay. It just takes more time, with very little promise of reward and a boatload of struggle.

And then you find yourself looking for a "real job" once again.

Before we get into the details of my offer, I want to confess to you that I found this place purely by accident. Although I'd heard of the company, I didn't really know what they did, so it was one of those "couldn't hurt" situations - I filled out an application and promptly forgot about it.

You know what happened? They called me back right away. They'd actually read my resume and wanted to know more about me. I received a friendly phone call from someone who cared.

What does that tell you?

• They’re hiring immediately
• They want the right fit too
• They care

So, I listened.

The recruiter's name was H'Enrie, and he was calling from the corporate location in Kansas City. The company's name was Safe Haven Security - ADT's largest Authorized Dealer.

I told him about myself, and then he told me about the growing Savannah office for this enormous company.

I started to open my mind a little.

I'd heard of ADT and it's no wonder, they’ve been in business for 150 years. They're one of the top most recognized and reputable brands in the world.

How do you think they got there?

They were the first to do what they do, and what they do is important. Yes, there are a handful of companies trying to mimic what ADT started, but the truth is no one can even come close to their experience, reliability, reputation and resources.

You see when your brand is that big, you need authorized dealerships to sell your product for you, kind of like buying a Chevrolet.

This post won't allow images, so you'll have to use your imagination. I took a selfie the day I said goodbye to what I thought was a good job working at the local Chevrolet dealership. We unexpectedly had to vacate our home - our landlord couldn’t renew our lease, so just like that, without warning, we had to pack up and go.

My job search resumed once again. When the economy shifts for the worse you have to adapt, there's nothing else you can do. But life works out in funny ways...
